When I started feeding the birds a few months ago, everything was peaceful for a few weeks.
Only the best kind of birds showed up at the feeder. The cardinals, chickadees, finches, nuthatches, flickers, etc.
Then the house sparrows descended and emptied an entire feeder in one day.
The house sparrows are the rodents of the bird population.
I did some research and figured out how to scare away the house sparrows without detracting the desirable birds. All you have to do is hang fishing line from your feeders.
But before I could feel smug about my success the
squirrels found my feeders.
The squirrels knocked down the feeders and made my life
miserable for a while as I tried to outwit them.
They weren’t baffled by the “baffle” on my feeder.
Duct tape with the sticky side facing out didn’t work either.
Putting vaseline on the post has seemed to do the trick
so far.
It’s fun to watch the squirrels furiously roll around in the
dirt after they get the vaseline on their paws in a desperate
attempt to wipe it off.
Feeding the birds and outwitting squirrels is a good metaphor
for an online business.
Before I figured out how to keep the squirrels and house
sparrows away, my feeders had a ton of traffic.
There were more birds in my yard than any other yard near
my house.
But traffic is overrated, as I soon discovered. If you aren’t
attracting the right prospects, all the traffic in the world doesn’t
mean much.
Chris Rempel’s sites consistently attract more targeted buyers
than competitor sites with more traffic.
You don’t need a ton of traffic to make money on the internet.
You just need the right traffic.
Sidenote: The people that show up and don’t buy are like the
house sparrows and squirrels. It’s far better to attract the people
who are already on the verge of buying.

As you know, Chris didn’t use PPC or spend a dime on
advertising while making his first $100K in six months.
As he says on his website, “Build great content, get
some good links pointing to it, add more content, add
more links, and wash rinse and repeat until you’ve got
as much traffic as you need.”
The ease with which you can do this with blogging and
minisites is staggering.
And so are the profits if you stick with it consistently.
Many people wonder if blogs are superior to minisites
or vice versa.
It does seem that Google ranks theme-based websites
higher than blogs.
But in my opinion this isn’t so much because of the platform
but because of the content.
Someone that creates a website or minisite tends to use
higher quality content than someone with a blog, overall.
If your blog is chock full of awesome content then it will
rank well.
Also, use the platform that’s easiest for you.
If WordPress or another blogging platform is far easier for
you to use than creating a minisite, then by all means
use a blog.
Don’t let this question stop you from moving forward. Pick
what works for you and run with it. The content is the most
important thing.
For much more about content and getting traffic, be sure
to look at Chris Sempel’s Confessions of a Lazy Super
Affiliate.
After you master the strategies in Lazy Super Affiliate,
you won’t have to worry about security during recessions.
Paying your bills on time and having a big stash of cash
in your savings won’t seem laughable anymore.
And that boss and cubicle? History. You just need to
grab a copy of Lazy Super Affiliate and consistently
apply his principles to your business.
Don’t give up!

One of the things I like about Chris Sempel is that he is not
a “hope dealer.”
Hope dealer is my phrase for most internet marketers who
really aren’t selling a product…they are selling hope.
You’re buying a feeling in the hopes that this will finally
motivate you to take the actions necessary to launch
your business.
Chris says that buying Confessions of a Lazy Super
Affiliate will not make you rich.
You have to put the hours in.
Doing anything worthwhile takes a long time.
Ninety percent of what separates successful people
and failed people is time, effort and stamina.
If you have a day job, find that extra hour or two
in the day that belongs to nobody but you and make
it productive.
Put the hours in consistently and, eventually, magical
things will start happening in your business.
Yeah, that’ll mean you have less of a social life and
watch fewer TV shows or whatever.
But so what?
Chris doesn’t want you to buy Confessions of a Lazy
Super Affiliate if your main concern is whether or not
you can get a refund (you can) if you don’t get immediate
results.
Buy Lazy Super Affiliate because you want to invest
in your business, not because you need a hope fix.
Frankly, $29.95 is such a low amount one can hardly
call it an “investment.”
Talk to anyone who owns a brick and mortar business
and when they “invest” in their business, it’s hundreds
or thousands of dollars at a time.
They’d laugh if you told them you “invested” $29.95
in your business today.
Let them laugh though because this $29.95 blueprint
has enough information to add hundreds, possibly even
thousands, to your bottom line each month if you use
it.
When’s the last time you purchased something
that was capable of bumping you up a few tax brackets
for less than $30?

Most people who dream of quitting their day job and working from home have dreams of following their passion in their business.
I made the mistake of doing the “Follow your passion” thing when starting out online.
As I know now from experience, that’s the worst thing you can do.
I focused on niches that were of interest to me such as personal finance and gardening.
It’s best not to try to turn your hobbies into
businesses. Sure, there are people who have
succeeded in doing so, but as a general rule,
especially when first starting out, it’s best
not to do this.
There’s one very practical reason for this that has
nothing to do with money or traffic or SEO:
You run this risk of losing your passion and hobby
once you turn it into a business. You’ll have just
a business and no hobby and that’s no prescription
for a happy life.
And there’s one very practical thing you do need
to focus on in order to succeed instead of being
swept away by following your passion:
You have to study and find out where there is
both demand and eager buyers.
This doesn’t mean you have to choose a niche
that you hate.
But it does mean you have to focus on buyers
more than your personal interests.
Chris Sempel goes into a lot more details about
this on his website and in his Confessions of
a Lazy Super Affiliate product.
Don’t you want to join all the other lazy super
affiliates and profit from easy traffic?

When’s the last time you read a sales letter and
learned enough from the actual sales page that you
were able to go forth and make money?
If I was writing an email for a normal affiliate
marketing program, I’d probably have to end up
telling you that to get the real secrets to
traffic you’ll have to buy the product.
After all, most sales pages are just festivals of
hype and have no substance.
Chris Rempel does something different and right
on his sales page gives you five ways to generate
endless traffic.
His sales page reads more like an ebook than it
does a sales page.
Check it out:
My favorite of his five ways to generate traffic
is giving away freeware and shareware on your
website.
For example, if you sell a weight loss product
you could give away a free calorie calculator.
He recommends submitting it to all the major
software directories on the web using a submission
service.
And you should require people to register the
freeware so that you can collect their email
address.
Chris claims his best day so far was when one of his
freeware applications got downloaded about 22,000 times
in 24 hours, bringing in about $9,100.00 in affiliate
commissions!
Wouldn’t you like to do the same?
