Keep in mind, the goal is to draw inspiration  for ideas-not to copy blog posts.

Using fresh, original content on your blog ensures readers will come back to your blog again and again.

And as we know…regulars who know and like you, are more likely to buy from you.

So now that you have a source for blog content…there’s only one thing missing.

Headlines that inform the reader what the blog is all about.

Specificity is key here. Notice the difference in these 2 headlines:

• Is Heart Medicine in Our Drinking Water Killing Us?
• Prescription Drugs Are Getting Into Reservoirs

Which one grabs your attention more?

Same story with subheads…i.e., paragraph headers that break up the page and introduce the next section. Not only is this more inviting to human readers…search engine spiders like it too.

2. Article writing.

Great way to get traffic to your site-while at the same time positioning yourself as an expert in your niche.

Be aware that it does take time to gain momentum with articles. You need to have at least 50 published to get significant traffic. If you write one article a day, you’ll meet the quota in
a couple of months.

For faster results, consider an article spinner-a program that rewrites your existing articles and turns them into unique content..

3. Product reviews.

The other day the power cord on my main laptop went out while I was at a coffee shop in my “mobile office.”

I hate it when unexpected stuff like that happens to disrupt my
productivity.

I eeked out whatever battery life was left and walked across the street to the library to use their computer for another hour.

Our library only lets you log in for an hour and there’s a clock counting down the minutes at the top right corner of the screen.

It was kind of distracting.

But it made me focus like crazy so I could get the maximum work done.

No goofing around reading blogs or writing Tweets.

With only 32 minutes left, it felt like I had accomplished a lot and still had a lot of time left.

When the hour was over, I felt energized.

In fact, I probably got more done in that hour than if I had spent three more hours at the coffee shop or at home.

Now, I’m not saying it would be cool to have a countdown clock hanging over our heads ALL the time.

It was during some freak winter weather where temperatures dipped below zero and turned the highways into ice skating rinks.

No one was prepared. We were used to low temperatures in the teens.

Imagine sitting in traffic with a groaning engine at –15 degrees.

It took me 4 hours to drive 15 miles.

By the time I arrived at work, my engine sounded like an empty tin can.

I had to take the next day off. The mechanic was overwhelmed with broken down engines.

It cost me time. It cost me money. It was a real risk driving in those conditions.

I found a job closer to home soon after that. I wanted my commutes to be local.

Even at that time, however, I had it in my head to work from home.

No more commutes. No wasting gas money to travel to jobs I didn’t enjoy very much. No dealing with others’ road rage.

Little by little I achieved my dream.

No regrets…but had there been a way to get there faster, I would’ve jumped on it.

For example, if I had blogs optimized for affiliate selling…I would’ve grabbed it up.
