Do this—not that

Before I knew what the heck I was doing in online marketing  — I started an adwords campaign in a niche that was tiny, had low volume searches…and therefore little traffic.  What’s worse…not one page click resulted in a sale.

There were a number of things I could’ve done better. Like giving out a free report and getting the most likely buyers on a subscriber’s list.

However, I figured out quickly the search volume for this particular niche was never going to be lucrative. I let it go before I wasted too much money.

Now, running an adwords campaign in a niche where there’s low search volume may be risky. But the real mistake was not mine. It was a competitor who wanted to cut in on my traffic without checking to see if I had any…oops!

Apparently he looked up keywords of anybody who was selling something similar to what he sold—and used them for his own.

He likely used Keyword Spy. If you haven’t heard of it…it’s a great tool for figuring out what keywords your competition is using.

The problem was…my keywords were targeted more for my highly specialized sub-niche—not his. So in effect he was being deceptive and misrepresentative.

You should never do something like that.

Here’s why

When your ads are misleading about what you sell…you pay for it with traffic that clicks out of your page as fast as it clicks in.

I had to laugh at how his adwords stayed up for more than a month after I stopped my campaign. I guess the light bulb went on after that.

If he were using Keyword Elite 2 he would’ve known better.

If you want to “borrow” other people’s adwords strategy…Brad shows you the correct way. No need to lose money copying competitors’ unsuccessful
campaigns.

With Keyword Elite 2—ANY effort you put into marketing is the equivalent of 100%. Largely because you’re using 8 research tools that quickly deliver
the info you need to position yourself at the top of  Google rankings.
