Add value to your website

I’ve already talked to you about optimizing your website.

Aren’t you glad you don’t actually have to do it ALL yourself?

Phew!

I’ve also explained how to market yourself with articles.

It’s a powerful marketing tool-so please don’t neglect it.

Today I want to cover how to find content for your blog.

Keep in mind that blog posts can be short and sweet.  They don’t have to be 300-500 words like articles.

They just need to be compelling reads.

In an earlier email I discussed the importance of headlines on blogs.

Let’s now talk about finding topics to write about.

Because trust me…you’re going to need to keep coming up with fresh content every few days or so.

One of my favorite places to go hunting for topics is Technorati Top 100 blog list.

You can find blogs on everything from news events to cooking.

No matter what you sell-you can still tie in one of these topics to your product.

For example, if you sell a Spanish language course…you can blog about Mexican hot chocolate.

Keep in mind, the goal is to draw inspiration  for ideas-not to copy blog posts.

Using fresh, original content on your blog ensures readers will come back to your blog again and again.

And as we know…regulars who know and like you, are more likely to buy from you.

So now that you have a source for blog content…there’s only one thing missing.

Can you guess what it is?

Once you’ve got one blog going, you can set up another and another and another.

Remember-it only takes 15 minutes to set up a site for a new niche.

Want to know the method behind “set and forget” selling that’s making the big players rich?

It will surprise you  how easy it is-yet so many don’t bother because they don’t think it works.
