Get indexed, get ranked, get traffic

It’s undeniable that the one thing you need to succeed in your online business is traffic. And free traffic beats everything else. And where’s the best place to get free traffic? Google and other search engines.

How do we get free traffic from Google?

This is something you’ve experienced first hand countless times. You visit your favorite search engine. Enter in a word or phrase you want to research. Then you click on one of the pages that in displayed. Turns out that the website you visit just got free traffic from the search engine. We will be discussing here how to get website traffic to you for free.

Most people only click results from the first couple pages. Actually, almost 100% of the free traffic goes to this first page of results. And believe it or not, the first 3 results receive over 70% of the traffic.

So to get any significant amount of free traffic from Google, you really need to be on the first page. To do that, you need to be “ranked” in Google’s Top 10 results. Which brings up..

What is SEO?

Search Engine Optimization means that Google thinks your site matches what people are typing into their search box. The formula Google uses to determine this is known only by Google. There are several factors that we do know.

Getting indexed

Before your website can begin gaining ranking, you have to alert Google to it’s existence. This is called getting “indexed.” When your website gets indexed, Google stores information about it in their massive database.

To get indexed, you have to help Google find your site. And the best way for Google to find you is to get inbound links from other sites. Because Google already knows about these sites, it will follow the new links to you.

Use your Twitter and Facebook updates to get quick indexed links to your site. These sites are very popular so Google indexes them multiple times a day. So any new links will be followed right away.

Gaining ranking

Once you have been indexed, you will start working on increasing your rank. Google has billions of pages indexed, so just getting into their database does not mean anyone will see you.

There are three components of gaining ranking:

  • Content
  • Links
  • Activity

Optimized content

This is the SEO work you do on your page. It’s critical that your page content is consistent with the keyword phrases you’re targeting. Clearly this article is about search engine optimization. Google knows that not just because the words search engine optimization show up. But also because other related words like traffic generation show up in it, as well.

In addition to the content on the page, other things to keep in mind are the title tags on the page, and the domain name itself. Google uses all of this content to figure out what your site is really about.

Your links

Next, you need to pay attention to the links to and from your site. This includes both the inbound and outbound links. You want to make sure you have more inbound links than outbound links. The more inbound links you have the better your ranking will be.

A very easy way to get a lot of links to your site is through article marketing. With this strategy what you do is write an article about the topic you’re targeting. Then create a bunch of different versions of it. And post unique versions to lots of websites that accept articles. And quantity is the key here – so do lots and lots.

Getting activity

And lastly, it’s seems clear that Google expects important pages to be actively updated. You can’t just put up a page and leave it alone and expect it to rank well. Regular content updates to your site are expected. You can do this with RSS feeds and news posts.

But the best way is with active discussions on your page itself. To get comments from others, you need to get others to visit your site. Online forums are simple source of real live visitors.

Create profiles on lots of forums about your site’s topic. Then become active in the forum. And link back to yourself in your signature file. This gets you inbound links. And it gets people to visit the site you link to.

Conclusion

It’s important that you do everything listed here. However, writing a bunch of different articles on the same topic. Creating profiles on a ton of forums. And visiting all the sites to post up your comments and articles takes a really long time. And the bad news is that you probably won’t do it.

Fortunately, you can get rank builder software to do all the grunt work for you. So the best thing you can do is to automate this process. Otherwise, you won’t do it at all. And if you don’t do it, you simply will not ever get free traffic from Google.

Let’s Talk About Why You Need Facebook Ads Guide

This is icon for social networking website. Th...

Image via Wikipedia

And you’re reading my uncensored review of what I really thought about Facebook Ads Guide.

Note that this is a review. If you’re looking for the official Facebook Ads Guide website, then click here: Facebook Ads Guide

Why am I writing this? Well, when I was thinking of buying Facebook Ads Guide, there wasn’t many real reviews around.

So, I thought I’d do a quick write-up to help any of you who are in the same position I was.

My first impressions of Facebook Ads Guide:

You’ve probably heard or experienced your share of Google horror stories.

One guy I know made excellent money using Google ads and thought he could leave it on auto-pilot while going on vacation with his family to Disneyworld.

A few days into his trip he decided to check his account and saw he was more than $1K in the hole because Google decided to mess with the keywords in his campaign without telling him.

Now don’t get me wrong. Google PPC can still be a great way to earn money…if you’re willing to constantly babysit your campaigns and have back up plans in place for those times you get a costly Google slap.

Fortunately Facebook isn’t nearly so finicky.

Jonathan Volk made $3K per day from Facebook ads for ten months.

There were no Facebook slaps or anything like that.

His methods work even if you’d just like a consistent $100 per day.

The key is that the income is consistent and reliable.

Now, let me address a concern you might have…

Facebook is a place where people go to socialize, so they aren’t in the mood to buy stuff from ads while they are there, right?

You’ve probably heard that lots of times.

But when you know your target audience and have the right affiliate products, you really can make consistent money.

What Facebook Ads Guide has helped me achieve:

What do you like?

That’s a question Facebook preoccupies itself with.

More and more articles and blog posts have Facebook like buttons.

Then there are all those fan pages that you can become a member of by clicking “like”.

As you can imagine, knowing what people like can be a hugely profitable thing when you’re buying ads.

Jonathan Volk will give you a list of the top Facebook fan pages broken down by category as well as a Facebook keyword targeting list.

This fan page and keyword list is in addition to the amazing Facebook Ads Guide.

In his guide he doesn’t just show you what to do.

He tells you why something works and why it will make your offer a better one.

This type of profit-centered analysis is sorely lacking in most ebooks about marketing.

When you become a customer, you also get an ongoing e-newsletter from Jonathan Volk that will let you know what the latest hot niches and ad offers are on Facebook and information on how to capitalize on them.

The top 4 things that I learned from Facebook Ads Guide:

I’ve mentioned before that Google is no longer the only PPC game in town. Today I’d like to give you 4 specific reasons why Facebook ads are superior:

  • Facebook ads are a lot less expensive. If you have a small business or are just starting out, this is a huge advantage. In the right niches, Facebook ads are a tiny fraction of the price of Google PPC.
  • You can use images in Facebook ads. A picture is worth 1000 words, as they say.
  • Facebook ads can be up to 135 characters long, as opposed to Google’s 75 character limit. This lets you be more creative. Facebook also lets you use exclamation marks and some words that are off-limits on Google due to copyright issues are not off-limits on Facebook.
  • Highly targeted. Because Google is a search engine and not a social networking site, Google doesn’t know much about its users the way Facebook does.

Facebook gives you 11 targeting factors:

    1. age,
    2. location,
    3. birthday,
    4. sex,
    5. keywords,
    6. languages,
    7. interests,
    8. education,
    9. relationship,
    10. connections, and
    11. workplace.

With all this information up front, you’ll be able to create highly targeted ads that get you at least a 5% click thru.

To fully take advantage of all Facebook has to offer, grab your copy of Facebook Ads Guide today.

You’ll also get a free Facebook Affiliate Offers Guide from Ryan Eagle that goes through specific Facebook offers and shows you exactly how to run them on Facebook.

What I find most useful about Facebook Ads Guide:

Facebook Ads Guide gives you tips about how to be successful using Facebook ads.

Jonathan Volk spells everything out so clearly and even gives you lists of the most popular keywords and fan pages, along with ongoing updates on what the best offers are.

Can it be that you still think you can’t make serious money on a social networking site?

That’s what a lot of people think, which may be why Jonathan Volk has been able to swoop in and make $3K per day.

Who would benefit from purchasing Facebook Ads Guide:

When I first started out with Facebook ads, I found it nearly impossible to get an ad approved. But now it’s a snap thanks to Facebook Ads Guide.

You will learn how to structure your ads and landing pages in the right way.

Facebook ad reviewers are very fussy about ad content and landing pages, so that’s what you need to focus on.

Some people find it helpful to create intermediary pages that lead to their main landing page.

It’s easier to get these intermediary pages approved by Facebook.

An intermediary page can be an FAQ page, a free report, a video series, etc.

As for your ad content, Facebook prefers that you target distinct groups of people in your ads rather than a generic ad.

You can get a lot more information about this from Facebook Ads Guide.

My final words about Facebook Ads Guide:

When I started to use Facebook a few years ago, most of my real life friends weren’t on Facebook yet.

Almost all of my friends were marketing colleagues and, to be honest, Facebook was mostly a bore.

Today, however, a lot of my family and friends are on Facebook and it’s a lot more fun and more personal.

I can quickly communicate with, say, one of my cousins, which I wouldn’t have been able to do before Facebook.

This personal nature of Facebook is something you can’t violate.

I’ve known marketers who have created fictitious Facebook profiles in order to romote their businesses.

Just as they started getting lots of new leads added to their lists and profits rolling in, Facebook discovered that their profile was in a fake name and yanked it down.

You can’t mess with Facebook. Even if you use a pen name in your blog and online articles, you won’t get away with that on Facebook.

On Facebook you have to be a real person!

And, frankly, that’s what makes Facebook a great place to be for your ads and promoting your business. You’ve gotta be real because all Facebook ads are linked to actual profiles.

Here’s something to think about Facebook today…

The average Internet user usually spends about ten seconds on a website.

But they spend an average of 20-50 minutes on Facebook each time they visit! And they often visit more than once a day.

Facebook ranks right behind Google in unique monthly visitors, but people spend more time on Facebook.

Are you starting to see now why Facebook should be part of your ad campaign?

For a long time everyone has been all about Google in promoting their business. But many experts have left Google a long time ago and it’s only going to increase.

Shouldn’t you get in Facebook Ads now before everyone else does?

The traffic on Facebook can be just as targeted as the traffic on Google.

If you have a local business, you can limit your ads to Facebook pages in your local area. You can also set age criteria and more.

Facebook ads are a hybrid of photo and text. The right photo can really help your ad stand out. Most sponsored ads on people’s Facebook pages right now are just things to do with their interests and have celebrity photos on them and such.

So now’s a really great time to get into the Facebook ad network with ads that stand out.

If you try it out, let me know how it goes.

What’s on your wish list?

I like to ask newly self-employed (or soon to be self-employed) folks what they plan to do once they start making good money.

A wish list of sorts.

Having one or a few things to look forward to can be motivating.

  • A plot of land so I can grow my own produce

Of those 3, the one that’s soon to happen is car replacement. Given how old my car is…I guess that’s priority.
